Job Description Summary
Provides high-level administrative support for a Chief who is a direct report of the CEO and directs multiple Enterprise departments; or a Chief who is a direct report of the CEO and directs an Enterprise department with 200+ team members. Provides specialized administrative support to include coordinating internal and external level meetings; assisting with projects and events; coordinating travel and meeting arrangements; compiling information for presentations; and producing business documents and formal correspondence. Ensures for proper decorum and professionalism for the office of the C-suite Executive; may provide oversight of administrative support staff within the office. Collaborates with and works effectively with the offices of key leaders throughout MUSC. Interacts with a wide range of visitors, guests, governmental officials, community leaders and others to provide assistance as needed. Effectively identifies and prepares for day-to-day demands; prioritizes accordingly. Anticipate needs and proactively bring together appropriate people and other resources to support the C-suite Executive addressing issues. Drafts presentations, written communications and social media posts. Manages pre and post meeting materials, communications, and follow up items. Job Description
The Executive Assistant serves as the senior executive support professional for the Office of the Chief Information Officer within Information Solutions. This role provides high-level administrative, operational, and communication support to the Chief Information Officer and helps ensure executive priorities, daily workflow, and leadership commitments are coordinated effectively.
The position serves as a trusted administrative partner to the Chief Information Officer by coordinating executive operations, governance activities, leadership meetings, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional administrative activities across Information Solutions. The role requires sound judgment, discretion, initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.
This position works collaboratively with executive leadership, administrative support personnel, and internal and external partners to promote operational continuity, timely follow-up, and effective coordination across Information Solutions, MUSC Health, and the University.

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and five to seven years of relevant executive administrative, program coordination, or senior-level office operations experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience providing executive-level administrative support to senior or C-suite leadership.
- Knowledge of executive office operations, administrative workflow management, and governance support practices.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, meeting coordination, and follow-up management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential matters with sound judgment and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive correspondence, agendas, briefing materials, and meeting documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a complex, matrixed organizational environment.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Experience coordinating complex calendars, leadership meetings, events, interviews, onboarding activities, and operational logistics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, office productivity tools, administrative systems, and virtual meeting platforms.
