Network Architecture & Engineering is responsible for designing, engineering, and evolving Maersk’s global network and perimeter services. As a Network Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of scalable, secure, reliable, and supportable network solutions across offices, warehouses, terminals, depots, and other operational locations worldwide.
You will play a key role in implementing enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN, and SD-WAN services while supporting migrations, service improvements, engineering standards, and network automation initiatives. Working alongside senior engineers and architects, you will help deliver consistent connectivity services that enable business operations across a complex global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN, and SD-WAN solutions aligned with approved architectures and standards.
Produce and maintain technical documentation including high-level and low-level designs, implementation plans, test plans, rollback procedures, and operational runbooks.
Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimise Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, and Fortinet Secure SD-WAN solutions across multiple network underlays.
Support campus networking and wireless deployments, including routing, switching, segmentation, authentication, performance optimisation, and wireless roaming.
Develop reusable configuration templates, validation processes, and deployment standards to improve consistency and reduce implementation risk.
Contribute to automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, APIs, model-driven interfaces, and Git-based workflows.
Investigate incidents and performance issues using telemetry, monitoring platforms, packet captures, logs, and diagnostics while supporting root-cause analysis and operational handover activities.
What We Are Looking For

4+ years of practical enterprise networking experience within a large enterprise, systems integrator, or service provider environment.
Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching technologies including IPv4, IPv6, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, VPNs, route filtering, and high-availability technologies.
Experience implementing or supporting enterprise SD-WAN platforms with understanding of overlays, underlays, segmentation, application-aware routing, encrypted tunnels, and failover mechanisms.
Hands-on experience with technologies such as Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, Cisco, HPE Aruba Networking, Juniper Mist, Extreme Networks, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms.
Working knowledge of network security and automation, including firewalls, network segmentation, 802.1X, Zero Trust principles, Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Git-based workflows, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, supported by relevant professional certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, Cisco DevNet, Fortinet Certified Professional, JNCIP Enterprise, Aruba professional certifications, or equivalent.
