Cambria Downtown Austin Hotel - AM Line Cook
Cambria Downtown Austin is seeking a Full-Time AM Line Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is responsible for preparing and executing breakfast and morning menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and cleanliness in a hotel kitchen environment.
Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Prepare and cook breakfast and AM menu items according to recipes and brand standards
Set up and break down stations for morning service
Ensure food is prepared in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and stocking as needed
Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen team members
Support overall kitchen operations during peak service times
What are we looking for?
Ability to work any day of the week, early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Previous line cook or kitchen experience (hotel or breakfast experience a plus).
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to effectively understand and communicate with staff both verbally and written.
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Moving up to 50 lbs. frequently, throughout shift, to perform essential job functions.
Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift.
Extend arms; frequent reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping.
Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation.
Able to provide Texas Food Handler's Safety Certificate.
