The Senior Manager, Supply Planning - LATAM is responsible for leading the regional supply planning and purchasing organization across Latin America. This role oversees supply planning, inventory strategy, purchasing, and supply continuity to ensure product availability, service excellence, working capital optimization, and effective alignment of supply with business requirements.This leader partners closely with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Customer Care, Procurement, and Global Supply Chain teams to translate business requirements into executable supply plans, establish consistent planning processes, and proactively manage constraints, inventory risks, and supplier performance.
The role is accountable for strengthening supply plan attainment, product availability, purchasing effectiveness, inventory health, and overall planning excellence across the region. The position serves as the primary regional leader for supply planning, inventory optimization, and supply risk management, ensuring alignment between regional requirements and global supply capabilities.
Supply Planning & S&OP
Lead the LATAM supply planning process, balancing supply capabilities against approved business requirements and priorities.
Develop supply scenarios and contingency plans to address capacity limitations, material shortages, and business variability.
Translate business requirements into actionable supply, purchasing, and inventory plans.
Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain teams to evaluate supply implications of growth opportunities, product launches, and portfolio changes.
Ensure alignment of regional supply plans with global supply strategies and operational capabilities.
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
Lead the regional supply plan across imported, locally sourced, and intercompany products.
Own supply plan attainment and inventory performance across the LATAM region.
Define inventory policies and parameters, including safety stock, reorder points, target coverage, planning lead times, and service levels.
Optimize product availability and working capital while reducing excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and expiring inventory.
Lead supply continuity, constraint recovery, allocation decisions, new product introductions, phase-in, and phase-out planning.
Drive planning parameter optimization and inventory segmentation strategies to improve service and inventory productivity.
Lead supply network balancing activities to optimize inventory investment while supporting customer service objectives.
Develop proactive supply risk assessments and mitigation strategies across suppliers, products, and markets.
Purchasing & Supplier Management
Lead regional purchasing execution and governance for finished goods, materials, and supply-related services within the role's scope.
Ensure purchase orders, supplier confirmations, lead times, and delivery commitments are accurate, timely, and aligned with approved supply plans.
Manage supplier performance in partnership with Global Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and business stakeholders.
Identify cost, service, and process-efficiency opportunities while ensuring compliance with Neogen policies and controls.
Support supplier capacity planning and supply continuity efforts to reduce operational risk and improve service performance.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions where needed to support business objectives.
Operational Excellence & Analytics
Standardize regional supply planning, purchasing, inventory management, master data, and supplier management processes while respecting local regulatory and quality requirements.
Develop regional dashboards and analytics to provide visibility into supply plan attainment, service levels, inventory performance, supplier performance, and purchasing effectiveness.
Drive adoption and data discipline across ERP, planning, and reporting tools.
Lead automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects that enhance planning effectiveness and efficiency.
Use structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis methodologies to resolve recurring supply and inventory issues.
Establish planning governance and performance management processes that drive accountability across the organization.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Customer Care, IT, and Global Supply Chain teams to align supply plans with business priorities and operational capabilities.
Act as the senior LATAM escalation point for critical supply constraints, inventory risks, supplier performance issues, material shortages, and capacity challenges.
Present supply scenarios, inventory strategies, risk assessments, and business recommendations to regional leadership.
Facilitate cross-functional decision-making to balance customer requirements, inventory investment, operational constraints, and financial objectives.
Lead regional supply reviews and ensure timely communication of supply risks, mitigation actions, and business impacts.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop regional teams responsible for supply planning, inventory management, purchasing, and related supply chain activities.
Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, compliance, continuous improvement, and customer centricity.

Qualifications

Education, experience, and language
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive supply chain experience with significant leadership responsibility in supply planning, inventory management, purchasing, S&OP/IBP, and supplier performance management.
3-5 years of people leadership or multi-country leadership experience within a regional or multinational organization.
Demonstrated experience leading supply planning organizations, S&OP/IBP processes, inventory optimization initiatives, purchasing operations, supplier performance management, and supply continuity programs.
Strong ERP and analytics capabilities, including SAP or comparable ERP systems, advanced Excel, planning tools, and business intelligence platforms.
Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a strong advantage.
Availability to travel across Latin America as business needs require.
