Customer Service Representative

Minden, NV | $21–$22 per hour | Full-Time; 7am-4pm

We are hiring an experienced and dependable Customer Service Representative to join a fast-paced manufacturing company.

In this role, you will be one of the company’s primary customer contacts. The individual will be responsible for customer orders, answering questions, pricing, account setup, order changes/ status, customer follow-up, invoicing and credits, ERP data entry, following each request through to completion, and assisting with internal department needs

You will also work closely with Materials, Technical Support, Inventory Control, Shipping, Production, and other departments to ensure customers receive accurate information and timely service.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Sales

• Respond to customer questions by phone and email.
• Provide information about products, pricing, accounts, and order status.
• Build strong customer relationships through prompt and professional service.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Identify opportunities to upsell additional products that provide value.
• Follow up on open questions, orders, and unresolved issues.
• Escalate complex concerns to the Customer Service Manager or appropriate department.

Order Processing and Scheduling

• Receive and process orders by phone, email, online portal, mail, and fax.
• Accurately enter, schedule, and release orders using the company’s ERP system.
• Notify Production and Materials of large or forecasted orders.
• Inform customers promptly of changes to pricing, quantities, or shipping dates.
• Help prepare scheduled orders for the Shipping department.
• Track each request through completion.

Accounts and Billing

• Set up new customer accounts and verify credit references.
• Keep customers informed about their account status.
• Complete invoicing, credits, adjustments, and rebilling.
• Process return authorizations and maintain the daily Receiving Log.
• Complete month-end reports and assignments accurately and on time.

Department and Office Support

• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain information and resolve customer needs.
• Support the customer service team to prevent order or response delays.
• Provide backup coverage for the switchboard and front desk.
• Answer and route calls, greet visitors, and complete general administrative duties.
• Assist with special projects and other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

• At least two years of recent customer service within an office environment.
• Previous upselling or suggestive-selling experience.
• Confidence recommending products based on customer needs.
• Strong professional English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience accurately entering information into an ERP or similar system.
• Previous work experience using Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets and using formulas.
• Comfortable operating multi-line phone systems and standard office equipment.
• Willing and able to learn about hydraulic valves, related parts, and company procedures. Product training will be provided.
