Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. | Gaithersburg, MD
Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is a customer-facing, sales-focused role responsible for managing customer accounts, supporting revenue growth, and facilitating timely payments. The ideal candidate is confident, persistent, organized, and comfortable communicating with customers regarding financial obligations and account requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer accounts from contract through final payment.
Contact customers regarding contracts, balances, invoices, insurance supplements, and payments.
Conduct outbound follow-up and overcome customer objections.
Process payments, invoices, and approved credit memos.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate customer and financial records.
Update CRM and financial systems with account activity.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Production.
Support customer satisfaction, referrals, and positive reviews.
Meet established sales, collection, productivity, and customer service goals.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
One year of experience in sales, customer service, accounts receivable, collections, or billing preferred.
Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
Confident telephone presence.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Ability to persuade, overcome objections, and secure commitments.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
CRM and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace experience preferred.
No supervisory responsibilities.
