Job Summary :
The Workday Functional Analyst for Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) serves as the primary Information Systems partner supporting Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management functionality. This role provides functional and technical expertise for Workday Finance and SCM modules, partnering closely with Finance, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, and vendor resources to support daily operations, resolve system issues, maintain data integrity, develop reports, test system changes, and optimize business processes.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Workday Modules for Finance and SCM
- Manage configuration, system updates, and overall functionality and performance for Workday Finance and SCM applications, including business processes, security, reporting, workflow automation, procurement, inventory, supplier management, requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, invoicing, general ledger, accounts payable, expenses, asset management, and financial reporting.
- Provides system expertise on overall architecture and strategy of the Workday applications and acts as functional subject matter expert (SME) for Finance and SCM processes.
- Provides enhanced and critical technical support for production support issues including, but not limited to, researching and resolving technical problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Support Workday releases by evaluating new functionality, coordinating testing, and supporting implementation activities.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying system optimization and automation opportunities.
- Maintain documentation, training materials, report specifications, data sources, and business rules.
- Follow and participates in established change management processes and procedures.
Integrations, Data, and Reporting
- Monitor and support integrations between Workday Finance and SCM third-party systems, partnering with technical teams as needed.
- Develop, create and maintain a variety of complex Workday reports for Finance team, SCM team, and HRH leaders.
- Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
- Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Communicates data, analysis, and findings clearly to technical and non-technical key stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation of report specifications, business rules, data sources, configuration decisions, and support procedures.
Finance
- Support Finance-related Workday functionality including general ledger, chart of accounts, accounting structures, expenses, assets, supplier accounts, financial reporting, and related business processes.
- Partner with Finance leadership to ensure Workday configuration and reporting support operational needs, accounting practices, compliance expectations, and organizational reporting requirements.
- Assist with chart of accounts updates, structural changes, reporting needs, and finance-related testing or validation activities.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday Finance reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data validation tools.
Supply Chain Management
- Support Supply Chain Management functionality including procurement, inventory, supplier management, requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, invoicing, spend management, and related workflows.
- Partner with Supply Chain leadership and end users to evaluate process needs, troubleshoot issues, and recommend system improvements.
- Create, maintain, and improve SCM reports and dashboards to support operational visibility, decision-making, and process improvement.
- Support testing, validation, and documentation of SCM workflows, enhancements, and system changes.
Patient Data Protection
The Workday Functional Analyst for Finance/Supply Chain Management may see confidential patient data and must follow HIPAA rules and regulations established by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Support Desk Specialist along with the Director of Information Systems are responsible for confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient data.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Experience with Workday reporting tools, dashboards, calculated fields, business process configuration, security, integrations, or release testing.
- Experience supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or ERP operations in a healthcare environment.
- Minimum of 5+ years of Workday Financials and/or Supply Chain Management experience.

This position is designated as hybrid and includes both remote and on-site work responsibilities. The associate must maintain a regular on-site presence as required by departmental and operational needs. Additionally, the associate will participate in the IS Applications on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for application-related issues according to the established schedule.
