Paralegal Senior

About the Role:

The Senior Paralegal serves as a key member of the Legal team, partnering closely with attorneys and business stakeholders to support commercial and consumer lending, payments, and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) initiatives. This role combines legal operations, contract management, project coordination, and regulatory support. The successful candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, manages multiple priorities simultaneously, and helps drive scalable legal processes across the organization.

What You Will Do:

• Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents and third-party contracts, consulting attorneys as needed.
• Review, redline, and manage template agreements, including, but not limited to NDAs, online banking agreements, ACH service agreements, wind-down letters.
• Review and approve loan closing packages for funding.
• Review marketing materials, disclosures, customer communications, and new product initiatives for legal and regulatory considerations
• Supporting attorneys with legal documentation and contract administration.
• Partner with business teams to gather information, identify issues, and facilitate efficient legal review.
• Manage and coordinate responses to subpoenas and other legal process requests.
• Provide litigation and bankruptcy support, including document collection, matter tracking and collections and records management.
• Assist with management of legal matters, including maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and supporting reporting requirements.
• Supports the Legal and Compliance technology, processes, and tools, including procedures across the department.
• Assist with third-party risk management, vendor contracting, and related governance activities.
• Provides first-level end-user technical support of key legal department systems and introductory end-user training.
• Creates and collaborates with the Legal team on department presentations, focus meetings, and related requests.
• Assist with project management and process improvement efforts.
• Supports broader legal operations responsibilities including regulatory examinations, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Plays an active role in advancing Legal Operations initiatives, including process optimization, technology enablement, knowledge management, and department scalability.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience supporting commercial and consumer lending, fintech, payments, sponsor bank, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), or other regulated financial services businesses strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting litigation, bankruptcy and subpoena management preferred.

Salary range:  $28.80 hourly – $48.35 hourly

 
The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
