Join our Product Development Team in Weybridge for an exciting 12-month industrial placement, starting in June 2027.

Are you a student at University looking to kick start your career in Product Development? You will have the opportunity to work directly with and learn from an experienced team within the oral health category who will support you to reach your full potential.

Product Development Scientist Industrial Placement: Key Responsibilities:

 

• Ability to collaborate across multiple functional disciplines, both inside and outside Product Development such as formulation development, analytical, microbiology and/or engineering to assist in building project programs to ensure successful delivery and execution.
• Capable of designing and executing scientific experiments to characterise and understand products and raw materials to aid in development of formulations
• Able to analyse, evaluate and interpret data to draw conclusions, solve problems and progress projects forward at all stages of the development process, within the functional groups to a high scientific standard in accordance with the timing requirements defined in product development briefs
• Takes responsibility for some stages of the development process, with high level of knowledge in formulation and/or analytical chemistry, whilst ensuring the highest quality.
• Assists in the research of new methodologies to test formulations
• Helps assess new technologies as appropriate with the Projects approved within the Stage & Gate model.
• Leading and execution of projects to support future brand innovations

Education Requirements:

We welcome applicants from all STEM degree disciplines, however degrees in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, food cosmetics or related sciences are particularly advantageous for this placement.

If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) or an Integrated Masters Degree and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university.  Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.

Application Process:

The application process has a total of up to 4 stages:

• Application – information will be required regarding your education and Right to Work.
• Online Assessment – you will be asked to complete a behaviour based online assessment and one-way video interview supported by Hirevue.
• Interview – if selected you will be invited to attend a final stage virtual interview; The interview will consist of a competency-based interview and may include a case study/technical exercise.
• Offer – candidates will receive an outcome within 2 weeks following interview.

Interviews will be held in November/December 2026
