Description
We're looking for a Podcast Producer to own the end-to-end production of our podcast, from idea and guest booking to recording, editing, publishing and repurposing. You'll work closely with the Digital Marketing Lead to make sure every episode serves our brand and business goals, not just download numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Research:
- Plan episode themes, series and content calendars in line with marketing goals.
- Research topics and guests, and prepare episode briefs, outlines and question sets for the host.
- Stay on top of industry trends to keep episodes relevant and timely.
Guest Management:
- Identify, reach out to and book guests, both local and international.
- Handle scheduling across time zones, pre-interview calls, guest briefing and follow-ups.
- Build and maintain a guest pipeline and relationships.
Recording & Production:
- Set up and run recording sessions, both in-studio and remote (e.g. Riverside, Zoom, SquadCast).
- Manage audio and video equipment, lighting, framing and sound quality.
- Direct the flow of recordings and support the host during sessions.
Editing & Post-Production:
- Edit audio and video episodes to a professional standard (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, Descript).
- Add intros, outros, music, captions and graphics in line with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with designers on thumbnails and episode artwork.
Publishing & Distribution:
- Publish episodes on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other platforms via a hosting service (e.g. Buzzsprout, Spotify for Podcasters, Transistor).
- Write episode titles, descriptions, show notes and timestamps with YouTube and search optimization in mind.
- Maintain a consistent publishing schedule.
Repurposing & Growth:
- Turn each episode into short-form clips for LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok.
- Provide content for newsletters, blog posts and sales teams (e.g. clips sales can share with prospects).
- Track podcast performance (downloads, views, watch time, subscriber growth, engagement, leads influenced) and share insights with the Digital Marketing Lead.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 2–5 years of experience in podcast production, video production, or digital content creation.
- A portfolio of podcasts or long-form video content you've produced or edited. This is required.
- Strong editing skills in at least one professional audio/video tool.
- Good understanding of audio quality, video framing and remote recording setups.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence reaching out to senior professionals and international guests.
- Highly organized, and able to manage several episodes at different stages at once.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with B2B, tech or business-focused podcasts.
- Understanding of YouTube growth and SEO.
- Motion graphics or design skills (After Effects, Canva, Figma).
- On-camera or co-hosting ability.
- Familiarity with AI tools for transcription, clipping and editing (e.g. Descript, Opus Clip).
