This position reports to:
Project Manager__
As a Site Manager within ABB Marine & Ports, you will play a key role in delivering complex electrification projects that help some of the world's largest container terminals reduce emissions and transition to a more sustainable future. From medium-voltage substations and SCADA systems to EV charging infrastructure and shore power solutions, you will be responsible for bringing our projects to life on site.
This is a highly visible role where leadership, technical expertise and stakeholder management come together. You will coordinate site activities, lead subcontractors, manage project execution and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and performance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

As Site Manager, you will be the driving force on site and the trusted link between ABB, our customers and subcontractors. You will ensure that construction, installation and commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently and according to plan.
Your responsibilities include:
Leading all on-site activities for medium to large-scale electrification projects
Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site personnel
Ensuring compliance with ABB's Health, Safety and Environment standards
Monitoring project progress, budget, quality and schedule performance
Coordinating the installation and commissioning of civil, mechanical and electrical infrastructure and equipment
Building strong relationships with customers, contractors and local stakeholders
Identifying project risks and proactively implementing mitigation measures
Managing site documentation and ensuring contractual compliance
Supporting logistics and material planning to guarantee timely site execution
Conducting site surveys and evaluating construction readiness
Reporting project status, costs and forecasts to project management
Driving a culture of collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement

Qualifications for the role
We imagine you as a hands-on leader who combines technical expertise with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
You bring:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or a related fields.
5 to 10 years of experience as a Site Manager, Construction Manager, Commissioning Manager or similar role within industrial, infrastructure, energy or electrical projects
Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
Strong knowledge of civil and electrical installations, substations, medium-voltage systems and industrial infrastructure projects
Proven experience working in an international project environment
Good understanding of project controls, planning, cost management and risk management
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to build trust and maintain constructive customer relationships
A structured and proactive approach to problem solving
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods during project execution
You stand out if you have
Experience within ports, terminals, marine, energy, utilities or industrial automation environments
Experience with SCADA systems and power distribution projects.
Knowledge of construction and commissioning activities in brownfield operational environments
Health & Safety certifications such as VCA, SCC or equivalent are required.
Familiarity with ABB systems and project execution methodologies
