Operations Manager | Coles WA Transport | Western Australia

About the role and opportunity on offer -

Are you an experienced transport leader who thrives in fast-paced operations, enjoys building high-performing teams, and knows how to balance customer service, safety, and commercial outcomes?

At Toll, we're looking for an Operations Manager to lead a key Coles transport operation in Western Australia. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have direct influence over operational performance, customer relationships, people leadership, and financial outcomes.

You'll be responsible for leading a major transport operation, driving service performance, developing your team, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the operation consistently delivers on its safety, financial, and service commitments. You'll also play a key role in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation, and operational growth.

Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Operations Manager –

• Lead the day-to-day transport operation to deliver outstanding customer service and operational performance.

• Manage and develop operational teams, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Coles and key stakeholders.

• Drive KPI achievement, including maintaining industry-leading service levels and on-time delivery performance.

• Oversee operational budgets, forecasting and P&L performance.

• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, HSE requirements and all relevant legislation.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, profitability and customer outcomes.

• Coach, mentor and develop future leaders within the business.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

You are a proven transport or logistics leader with experience managing large operational teams across multiple sites. You are equally comfortable leading people, solving operational challenges and engaging with senior stakeholders.

What we're looking for:

You'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and leading from the front.

• Strong experience leading transport, logistics or supply chain operations.

• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasting and operational financial performance.

• Experience driving KPI performance and service delivery outcomes.

• Proven leadership capability with experience managing and developing large teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.

• The ability to identify opportunities, improve processes and deliver operational efficiencies.
