Overview
The Senior Medical Coder supports Medicare Part C Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) initiatives by performing diagnosis coding across various care settings. Responsibilities include coding inpatient, outpatient, and physician office records; conducting intake validity checks; performing Medical Record Dispute and Appeal reviews; participating in QA Panel discussions; assisting with training and feedback of coders; and maintaining security of medical records. The role requires minimum 5 years of coding experience, certified credentials (CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT), and experience with Risk Adjustment Data Validation or CMS-HCC audits. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently are essential.
