Description

As Global Senior Director of Demand Management, Workforce Strategy & Sourcing, you will shape how Ford's Enterprise Technology (ET) organization plans, sources and deploys its global technology talent. You will drive the vision, implementation and ongoing optimization of ET's demand planning process and global workforce, directly influencing how Ford delivers its product and technology roadmap.

You will own the tracking, monitoring and reporting of ET's operational health and drive proactive improvements in efficiency and resource allocation. You will also architect and run ET's workforce operating system—balancing employees, contingent labor, managed-service providers and emerging talent pipelines while ensuring compliance, optimized cost, and strategic fit.

You Will...

1\. Strategic Workforce Planning & Analytics

  • Build a multi-year rolling workforce plan that aligns talent supply with Ford's product and technology roadmaps, financial targets and location strategy
  • Lead the global span-and-layer analysis for ET; recommend and execute redeployment or realignment actions that simplify structure and improve managerial effectiveness
  • Continuously evaluate \"build / borrow / buy\" decisions—identifying which work should be done by Ford employees, contingent labor or external consultants based on strategic value, risk and cost

2\. Headcount & Cost Governance

  • Own the single source of truth for ET headcount, labor cost and open requisitions; publish monthly dashboards to the ET leadership team and Finance
  • Drive zero-based labor budgeting cycles, delivering transparent trade-offs and mitigation options to hit quarterly EBIT objectives

3\. Contingent Labor & Managed-Service Optimization

  • Set the global strategy for contingent labor (staff-aug, SOW, MSP) including vendor segmentation, rate-card management, performance scorecards and rationalized supplier panels
  • Partner with Purchasing and Legal to negotiate master agreements and SLAs that protect IP, ensure on-time delivery and achieve year-over-year productivity commitments

4\. Immigration & Global Mobility Compliance

  • Establish an H-1B and global work-authorization governance framework—monitor cap usage, adjudication timelines, compliance risk and cost impacts
  • Liaise with Global Mobility and outside counsel to streamline visa renewals, PERM filings and country-to-country transfers while maintaining business continuity

5\. Talent Redeployment & Internal Marketplaces

  • Stand up and run an internal talent-marketplace program to redeploy under-utilized technologists to high-priority initiatives, minimizing external spend and increasing employee engagement

6\. Operating-Model & Location Strategy

  • Evaluate current and future footprints (North America, EMEA, LATAM, APAC, India) and recommend location shifts based on skill availability, cost, risk and time-zone coverage

7. Demand Management & Operational Planning

Lead ET's end-to-end demand management process—from intake and prioritization through capacity planning—and maintain accurate forecasts of ET's resource needs

Develop and manage ET's operational plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

Identify and manage risks and opportunities related to ET's demand and capacity

8\. Stakeholder & Team Engagement

  • Act as strategic advisor to ET Officers, HR, Finance, Purchasing, Legal and the Ford Business Solutions (FBS) organization on all demand forecasting, planning processes and workforce-related matters
  • Lead, coach and develop a global team of workforce planning, sourcing and analytics professionals, fostering individual growth, high performance and a collaborative work environment

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization

  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, tailoring messages to their specific needs and interests

9\. Data, Systems & Automation

  • Own the roadmap for workforce analytics and planning tools (HRIS, vendor management systems and BI platforms), ensuring data integrity, AI-enabled insights and end-to-end process automation

Develop and maintain tools and dashboards for tracking and reporting on performance and demand planning metrics

You'll Have...

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in large, global IT organizations, including 5+ years leading workforce planning, demand management or technology sourcing functions
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers and globally distributed teams
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale labor budgets and contingent workforce or managed-service programs

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership & Collaboration Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, build, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with the confidence and capability to present complex information to diverse audiences, including all leadership levels
  • Proven ability to influence and engage diverse individuals and stakeholders to achieve common goals and drive results
  • Strong project management and planning skills, ensuring strategic initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and with the highest quality
  • Ability to apply agile principles and effectively manage change within a dynamic organizational context
  • Excellent consulting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Track record leading enterprise-scale transformation, such as operating-model redesign, workforce restructuring or vendor consolidation

Technical & Analytical Acumen:

  • Deep understanding of global technology organizations, operating models and the IT services and labor market landscape
  • Ability to structure and visualize complex problems and translate data into clear, executive-ready recommendations
  • Advanced proficiency in workforce analytics, financial modeling and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of U.S. immigration (H-1B, PERM) and global mobility requirements
  • Understanding of how AI and automation are reshaping technology roles, skills and workforce mix
  • Experience developing location strategy or global capability centers
