Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

 

Job Objective

Accomplish the job objective and perform the principal responsibilities while achieving the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) annually. All work performed by the team must be in accordance with established procedures, bank policies, and code of conduct.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle the processing of inward / outward CHATS & TT, fund transfer, and related activities (including MIS and regulatory reporting) in accordance with established procedures, risk control, bank policies, guidelines, and service standards.
• Handle the receipt of customer instructions and confirmation with customers in accordance with established procedures, risk control, bank policies, guidelines, and service standards.
• Handle and respond to inquiries and requests from internal and external partners and customers regarding transaction processing and related matters.
• Handle general clerical tasks, such as reconciling work done, filing, etc.
• Provide suggestions for streamlining operational procedures, increasing productivity, enhancing operational control, and achieving resource utilization (for volume surges) by means of the DBS Management System continuously.
• Support any initiatives, new services, and perform coordinator roles as designated (e.g., BCP coordinator, PC coordinator).
• Provide coordination and work collaboratively with section members in completing the section’s responsibilities.
• Promote and encourage open and good communication amongst all levels of members.
• Comply with UDMA Policy requirements as well as UDMA governance processes, control, and support tasks if required.
• Adhere to and comply with the rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the Bank, HKMA, MAS, etc., pertaining to operations.
• Escalate exceptional, outstanding, or suspicious transactions to the section manager and other relevant parties for necessary action per the Incident Management Policy.
• Public holiday duty may be required.
