Job Description

As a Security Officer Reception in Mira Loma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide professional communication and customer service. You will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment while supporting site operations through attentive front-desk presence and security-related reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and vendors at a front desk within a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Receive and route calls, deliveries, and inquiries in a professional manner while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns at the reception area.
• Observe access points, alarms, cameras, and other assigned systems, and promptly report unusual activity, access issues, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting appropriate support resources as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
