Commercial Manager (Projection Solutions)

We are looking for an experience Commercial Manager for our client, an established international company in the maritime sector. This person will be responsible for driving business development and commercial growth across assigned markets and key accounts in the region. The role will lead commercial and chartering activities from opportunity identification and tendering through contract negotiation and award, while building strong client relationships and supporting the achievement of revenue, gross profit, and asset utilisation targets. Working closely with the GM, APAC and regional teams, the role will also support strategic partnerships, new market entry, and cross-border growth opportunities across APAC. The ideal person should have strong commercial acumen, self-driven and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business development activities across assigned APAC markets and key accounts, identifying and securing new opportunities to achieve annual revenue and gross profit targets while supporting optimal asset utilisation.
• Manage the end-to-end commercial and chartering process, including pre-qualifications, RFQs, tenders, bid strategy, pricing and cost modelling, internal approvals and contract negotiations.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities across existing and prospective clients.
• Maintain accurate commercial forecasts, CRM records and management reports covering pipeline opportunities, contract awards, revenue, gross profit, asset utilisation and key follow-up actions.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, prospective customers, business partners and key industry stakeholders.
• Identify new customer requirements and market opportunities, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop commercially competitive solutions.
• Support regional growth initiatives, including strategic partnerships, entry into new markets and cross-border business opportunities across APAC.
• Monitor relevant market and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and support commercial decision-making.
• Collaborate with operational and other internal teams to ensure commercial commitments are aligned with operational capabilities and business objectives.
• Ensure all commercial and business development activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures and HSQE requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in commercial, business development, chartering or sales roles within the offshore marine, oil & gas, EPC, marine logistics or related maritime/infrastructure sectors.
• Good understanding of offshore marine transportation, logistics, chartering and project-based tendering.
• Proven experience in business development and the preparation and management of tenders, including pricing, cost modelling, commercial evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities, build strong client relationships and manage key accounts across multiple markets.
• Strong commercial acumen with a sound understanding of revenue, gross profit, margins, contractual risks and asset utilisation.
• Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities, with the confidence to engage senior-level clients and key decision-makers.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities independently.
• Comfortable working in a regional environment and collaborating across commercial, operational and functional teams.
