Northwest Nazarene University’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences includes undergraduate and graduate programs in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, and Counselor Education. Graduate programs include master’s degrees in Social Work and Counselor Education and the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology.

Psychology Department

The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program prepares students as practitioner-scholars who integrate psychological science, clinical practice, and thoughtful consideration of faith and spirituality. The program is built around three areas of emphasis: clinical competence, academic rigor, and faith integration.

The PsyD program is accredited, on contingency, by the American Psychological Association Commission on Accreditation. Students receive training in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, consultation, research, and other areas of professional psychology in preparation for licensure as clinical psychologists.
