Your role in the story
We're looking for a Data Analyst to join Zilwa Resort Ltd and help turn data into clear, reliable reporting that the business can act on. You'll build and maintain Power BI reports, prepare data for analysis, and work with stakeholders to answer everyday business questions. As the role grows, you'll have the opportunity to explore AI-assisted analytics and develop into more technical areas of data and BI.
What your days would look like
- Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and reports
- Write and optimize DAX measures and calculated columns for KPIs and business metrics
- Analyze data in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) for ad-hoc requests
- Check data quality and reconcile numbers across reports and source systems
- Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear visuals
- Document reports, data sources, and measure definitions
- Support the team with recurring reporting cycles (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
What we're looking for
Required
- Around 1 year of professional experience in a data analyst or BI role
- Hands-on experience with Power BI: report building, data modelling basics, and DAX measures
- Working knowledge of Power Query (M) for data cleaning and transformation
- Solid Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of validating your numbers
- Clear communication, and the ability to explain findings to non-technical colleagues
- Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn new tools, including AI technologies, and to grow into more technical domains over time
Nice to have
- Exposure to the hospitality sector, or experience working with hospitality data (e.g. occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, booking pace, F&B or revenue management reports)
- Basic SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY)
- Understanding of star schema and relationships in data models
- Experience with Power BI Service (publishing, workspaces, scheduled refresh)
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, IT, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
