Job Description:

This role provides additional transactional capacity and operational resilience within Treasury. It is intended to support timely client wire processing, prevent backlogs in Treasury operations, provide dependable coverage when Finance Operations Manager and Finance Operations Specialists are absent, and allow Finance Leaders to remain focused on higher-value and more complex responsibilities. 

 

The Finance Operations Assistant is an entry-level role within the Sun Life Private Wealth Finance team, providing day-to-day Treasury, cash management and financial operations support. This opportunity is suited to a Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics student or recent graduate with an interest in Treasury and strong attention to detail. 

 

The role supports accurate and timely processing, recording and reconciliation of Treasury transactions in accordance with established procedures and controls. This position reports to the Senior Finance Operations Specialist. 

 

This is a nine-month fixed-term contract.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Set up and process wire transfers, including validating instructions, coordinating approvals and tracking completion. 

• Complete accurate and timely Treasury data entry and assist with bank, cash and account reconciliations. 

• Support daily cash management activities, including monitoring balances, updating cash positions and maintaining trackers. 

• Administer incoming and outgoing Treasury transactions, including payments, receipts and transfers, and maintain supporting records. 

• Review transactions for completeness and accuracy, investigate routine differences and escalate exceptions as appropriate. 

• Provide vacation and absence coverage for routine Treasury and Finance Operations activities using documented procedures. 

 

Requirements: 

• University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics  

• 2+ years experience as a student intern working in this field 

• Interest in Treasury, cash management or financial operations. 

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of data-entry accuracy. 

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to organize work, follow procedures and meet deadlines. 

• Clear communication skills, sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly. 

 

Salary Range: 37,600.00 - 50,800.00 EUR Annual
