Your Impact
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Southwest Health System, you’ll help bring treatment plans to life—delivering hands-on, high-quality care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a mixed inpatient/outpatient setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out established OT treatment plans and adapting within approved parameters
- Communicating clearly with patients, families, referring providers, and the care team
- Completing timely, accurate documentation that meets department and facility standards
- Coordinating with therapy and nursing disciplines to support seamless patient care
- Contributing to quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity initiatives
- Staying current through continuing education and professional development
- Following SHS policies and procedures and maintaining active licensure/certifications in good standing
