Description

We foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that supports professional growth, flexibility, and meaningful work, empowering our employees to make a lasting impact on our clients, communities, and the planet.
What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time Operator to join the Lisbon Water Department in Lisbon, Maine. In this role, you will report to the Project Manager, who serves as the System’s Primary Designated Operator.
You’ll work alongside a team of four operators and the Project Manager, supporting the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the department’s drinking water treatment and distribution systems.
The Lisbon Water Department system includes:
- Moody Street Treatment Plant
- Four groundwater wells: Ann Street Well, William E. Bauer Well, and two Moody Wells
- Two storage tanks
- A two-zone distribution system
No two days are exactly the same. You’ll have opportunities to take on different challenges, build your skills, and contribute to maintaining 100% compliance through daily process monitoring and a comprehensive maintenance system.
If you enjoy hands-on work, spending time outdoors, and helping protect one of our most important natural resources, water, this could be a great opportunity for you. Woodard & Curran is committed to employee growth and development and wants to support you along your career path.
Work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures. Operators participate in an on-call rotation for system coverage outside normal workday hours, and shifts may include weekends. Operators will also be required to respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.
Schedule
This project operates on a rotating four-day, 10-hour-per-day workweek:
- Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; or
- Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Operators rotate a seven-day on-call coverage schedule.
- A $200 per week on-call stipend is provided.
