Join Our Team: Journeyman Laborer
Location: Traveling, primarily Washington State
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm (4-10s)
Pay: $67.39/hr-71.09/hr, depending on the project's prevailing wage rate
About the Role
T BAILEY is looking for an experienced Journeyman Laborer for our civil construction crew. You'll help with the excavation, foundation, and site work for water storage tank projects across Washington. You'll work with operators, carpenters, and our foreman to keep projects safe, high-quality, and on schedule.
What You'll Do
- Place, vibrate, screed, and finish concrete for ring-wall and mat foundations, footings, and slabs
- Set, brace, strip, and clean forms; handle and place rebar and embedded items
- Check grade with laser levels and grade rods; hand-dig and trim excavations
- Compact backfill in lifts with plate compactors, jumping jacks, and walk-behind rollers
- Lay and backfill underdrain, storm, and utility pipe
- Install and maintain erosion and sediment controls
- Operate small equipment and power tools; load, unload, and stage materials
- Flag and set up traffic control when certified
- Help train apprentice and entry-level laborers
What You Bring
- Completion of a laborer apprenticeship, or at least 4 years of laborer experience on civil or heavy construction projects
- Hands-on experience with concrete placement, excavation support, and compaction
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel throughout Washington for multi-day and multi-week projects
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 80 lbs occasionally and 25–50 lbs frequently, and to work outdoors in all Pacific Northwest weather, with or without reasonable accommodation
- WA flagger certification and First Aid/CPR preferred, or the ability to get them
