Position Summary
The Admissions and Student Outreach Coordinator supports the School of Pharmacy's enrollment, recruitment, admissions, and student engagement efforts. This position serves as a primary contact for prospective students and coordinates admissions operations, recruitment initiatives, pathway programs, and student support activities to promote enrollment growth and student success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Admissions and Enrollment
- Manage applicant records and admissions processes from inquiry through matriculation.
- Coordinate applicant communications, interviews, admissions documentation, and transcript verification.
- Maintain compliance with admissions policies and accreditation standards.
- Prepare admissions reports, metrics, and assessment data.
Recruitment and Outreach
- Implement recruitment strategies to support enrollment goals.
- Represent the School of Pharmacy at recruitment events, information sessions, and community outreach activities.
- Build relationships with prospective students, advisors, and community partners.
- Coordinate recruitment communications, marketing initiatives, and social media engagement.
- Promote the SPEAR program and other pathway opportunities.
Pathway and Student Engagement Programs
- Support recruitment and admissions activities for pathway and InterCAS programs.
- Advise prospective students regarding admissions pathways and program opportunities.
- Coordinate Student Ambassador and Peer Mentor programs, including recruitment, training, and support.
- Assist with School of Pharmacy events and student engagement initiatives.
Operations and Administrative Support
- Maintain admissions and recruitment data and support institutional reporting efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between students and institutional departments, including Financial Aid.
- Support operational needs for on-ground, hybrid, and online pathway programs.
- Perform exam proctoring and other duties as assigned.
Service and Professional Responsibilities
- Support the mission and goals of South College and the School of Pharmacy.
- Participate in committees, meetings, and institutional initiatives as assigned.
- Foster positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with institutional policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and remain current on admissions and enrollment best practices.
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred
- Experience in admissions, student services, higher education, healthcare education, or academic operations.
- Experience supporting graduate or professional programs.
- Pharmacy Technician experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and admissions/student information systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver excellent customer service.
