As an Airport Security Officer: Part-Time Saturday/Sunday in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting airport operations, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist travelers, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will communicate observations, complete reports using computer or tablet tools, and work collaboratively with Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative team while acting with integrity and putting people first.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or government representatives while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary throughout the airport environment.
• Monitor for and report unusual activity, hazards, unattended items, access concerns, and other security-related issues in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior by maintaining a visible presence, checking authorized access points, and documenting observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Preferred ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
