Caring Transitions of Northwest Atlanta helps seniors and families through major life transitions, including relocations, downsizing, estate sales, and home cleanouts.

We're looking for dependable, hardworking team members who enjoy physical activity, variety, and working with a team. We are looking for someone who can drive our vehicles, tow the trailers when necessary with our vehicles, unload at dump, donation, or warehouse as well as help move furniture, load vehicles on pick up day, and help with all the heavy lifting.

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: This is a physically demanding job that can be DIRTY, requires travel to DIFFERENT job sites, and has VARIABLE, UNPREDICTABLE HOURS.

Our team works inside clients' homes, and conditions vary significantly. Some homes are clean and organized, while others may be dusty, cluttered, dirty, or filled with years of accumulated belongings.

You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and doing the work needed to complete each project.

What You'll Do

• Lift, carry, move, and load furniture, boxes, and heavy household items.
• Help with estate cleanouts by removing unwanted belongings.
• Load trailers, trucks, and dumpsters with items for donation, recycling, or disposal.
• Assist with packing and online auction pickups.
• Work in homes that may be dusty, dirty, cluttered, or physically challenging.
• Follow safety procedures and treat clients' homes and belongings with respect.
• Travel to different client locations based on project assignments.

Work Schedule – IMPORTANT

This is a project-based, part-time position with variable and unpredictable hours.

• Work hours depend on scheduled client projects and business needs.
• The number of hours available may change from week to week.
• Shift lengths are estimates, not guarantees. A project may finish earlier than expected, resulting in a shorter shift, or take longer due to the complexity of the work.
• Team members need some flexibility when projects run longer than originally anticipated.
• This position is best suited for someone comfortable with a changing schedule rather than consistent, guaranteed weekly hours.
• We offer $17/hr- $20/hr. with potential for advancement. We pay weekly.

Job Locations – IMPORTANT

This is NOT a job at one fixed location.

Our projects take place at different homes throughout Cobb County (including Smyrna, Marietta, Mableton, Austell, Powder Springs, Vinings) and Paulding County area.

You must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive to different assigned job sites. Your work location may change from one shift to the next.

What We're Looking For

• At least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and safely assist with moving furniture.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including bending, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
• Willing to work in dusty, dirty, and cluttered environments.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Georgia driver's license.
• Smartphone access for work communication.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible with changing schedules and project lengths.
• Respectful, compassionate, and professional when working with seniors and families.
• Previous moving, packing, organizing, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to drive (clean driving record) our vehicles, tow our trailers, and maneuver in tight places.
