Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of Power Reliability BL  Solution and Service portfolio within a New Zealand region, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

This role is contributing to the Power Reliability Business Line in New Zealand.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Manage and maintain the ABB Excitation (EXC) and Hydro Automation Installed Base, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Identify installed base growth opportunities ("white spots") and support local teams in achieving related sales KPIs.
• Drive sales growth initiatives and coordinate rollout activities across the business.
• Monitor and report on the service sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities.
• Support sales activities, including technical solution development and pricing discussions.
• Participate in regular sales reviews, forecasting, and regional business calls.
• Stay current on new initiatives, processes, and reporting requirements through regional and global updates.
• Promote ABB's culture of health, safety, and integrity across all activities.
• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships to support long-term service growth.

Qualifications for the role

 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Service Sales, Sales Support, or Business Development within the power generation, hydro power, automation, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of excitation systems, generator controls, and hydro automation platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and develop solutions that deliver business value.
• Passion for solving customer challenges and building long-term customer relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and commercial audiences.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
