The Position

Constellation Payments is currently looking for a Technical Writer to assist in documenting their operating procedures and various product lines. The ideal candidate will also possess strong technical skills and the ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written skills.

Job Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create and maintain high-quality documentation that supports our payment products, APIs, integrations, onboarding processes, and internal operational and technical procedures. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, QA, compliance, and support teams to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and helpful content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Plan, write, and edit content by interviewing and interacting with technical, operational and subject matter experts

• Write and publish user documentation including SOPs, flows, online help, software guides, and installation and configuration instructions

• Translate complex concepts into plain language

• Capture and create images and videos to integrate with help content

• Edit own and others' work

• Work within the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment

• Learn complex features and translate them into concise but thorough documentation

• Learn the software to ask and determine what needs to be documented

• Prioritize tasks and deliver results on time

• Meet tight deadlines to respond quickly to changing project requirements

• Ensure all content adheres to documentation standards, version control, and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, SOC).

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• 3-5 years of technical writing editing experience, ideally in Fintech, SaaS, or payment processing

• Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and technical/SOP writing

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in documentation tools like Confluence, Git, Markdown, and a static site generator (e.g., Docusaurus, Hugo)

• Preferred experience writing developer-facing documentation (e.g., APIs, SDKs, integration guides).

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, Postman, and tools like Swagger/OpenAPI a bonus

• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Visio and Adobe Acrobat for publishing user guides, quick start guides, process flows and requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, OneDrive, and Teams

• Strong organizational skills, dedication to quality, and attention to detail

• Self-directed and self-motivated
