Job Title:

Projects and Construction Foreman

Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a Projects and Construction Foreman to coordinate the onboarding of contractors, issue Permits to Work (PTW), and oversee the installation and erection of plant and equipment. The role also includes managing contractor demobilisation from site and providing practical solutions for minor capital projects. 

 Responsibilities:
  • Administer and drive project execution in line with User Requirement Specifications (URS).
  • Ensure all plant and equipment installations comply with generally accepted technical standards.
  • Manage resources effectively to support optimal installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
  • Take ownership of installations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing processes and operations, while adhering to RR safety procedures.
  • Liaise with foremen and managers across all disciplines to ensure consistent implementation of safe practices and services during installations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completed Matric qualification.
  • N3 or equivalent, with a recognised Trade Test Certificate (preferably in Boilermaking, Fitting, or Electrical trade).
  • A National Diploma or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
