Job Title: Automation Support EngineerLocation: Germany onsiteExperience: 4-8 Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Automation Support Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance automation systems and tools used across business and IT operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience in automation frameworks, and the ability to ensure system reliability and performance. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 support for automation tools, scripts, and workflowsMonitor automation processes and ensure high availability and performanceTroubleshoot and resolve incidents, defects, and failures in automation pipelinesCollaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve automation solutionsMaintain and update automation scripts (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.)Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measuresSupport deployment and release processes in CI/CD environmentsMaintain documentation for automation processes and support proceduresWork with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization Required SkillsStrong experience in automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, UiPath, Selenium, etc.)Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShellExperience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)Knowledge of Linux/Unix and/or Windows environmentsUnderstanding of APIs, REST services, and integrationsFamiliarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, etc.)Good troubleshooting and debugging skills Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Exposure to ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management)German language skills (B1/B2 level) – preferred but not mandatory Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesGood communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work in rotational shifts/on-call supportProactive and detail-oriented mindset Nice to HaveExperience in RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)Knowledge of test automation frameworksPrior experience in production support roles
