This role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of internal software applications, database management systems, and regulatory compliance processes. This role serves as a critical bridge between Engineering, IT, Quality, and Operations, ensuring that digital tools and automated workflows support production efficiency and meet stringent industry standards.Job Description
Application Development & Systems Engineering
- Software Lifecycle Management: Lead the migration of legacy programs (e.g., converting VB applications to web-based platforms) and manage the full development lifecycle for internal tools. Support the upcoming effort and implementation of HERMES. Upgrade existing programs to latest security protocols for overall site integrity.
- Process Automation: Design and implement automation scripts to streamline reporting, such as SAP Open Order reports, work instruction uploads, and marketing data exports.
- Cybersercurity & Server Administration: Manage internal websites and mitigate server vulnerabilities in coordination with Corporate IT; transition protocols and ensure all internal programs are updated to utilize GE Vernova approved Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) to align with DT’s security standards.
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of third-party hardware and software, such as test bench data and labeling programs into the existing production ecosystem.
- Web & Server Administration: Manage internal website, transitioning protocols, and mitigating server vulnerabilities in coordination with Corporate IT.
Database & Data Integrity
- Database Administration: Manage and audit critical databases, including Version Checks, Program Expirations, and the GE Catalog Number Database.
- ERP Support: Develop tools for SAP product classification, manage ECO distribution lists, and create search features.
- Data Homogenization: Execute large-scale data cleanup projects to ensure consistency between product attributes and ERP descriptions.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Test Program Management: Maintain and update test record programs (CT/PT Test Records) to include new customer requirements, polarity tests, and standard worksheets.
- Quality Support: Collaborate with the Quality department to manage calibration programs, asset criticality fields, and updated testing requirements as needed for both Instrument Transformers and Capacitors.
Cross-Functional Technical Support
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner with Design Engineering to modify formulas and add new capabilities to design programs
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a technical point of contact for Finance, IT, Marketing, and QA to ensure software tools meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation of custom programs, logic changes, and internal processes to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Programming: Proficiency in VB.NET, Web Development (HTML/CSS/JS), and script automation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Database Management: Experience with SQL and SAP data structures.
- Systems: Knowledge of server management, Crystal Reports, and labeling software.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $68,000.00 and $102,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
