Marketing Specialist
Role Description: Huitt-Zollars is seeking a creative, highly organized mid-to senior-level Marketing Specialist to join our corporate marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, this role supports firmwide initiatives through strong writing, editing, graphic design, visual communication, program management, and industry research.
Working with marketing team members, technical professionals, and firm leaders, the Marketing Specialist will translate complex information into clear, engaging content and polished, brand-aligned collateral. The role also supports key programs involving practice-area and corporate marketing, thought leadership, media outreach, and external awards.

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, public relations, graphic design, or a related field
Duties:
- Develop, write, edit, and proofread marketing and communications content for internal and external audiences.
- Interview technical professionals and firm leaders to develop articles, project stories, thought leadership, award submissions, presentations, and other materials.
- Design and maintain brochures, qualifications materials, project profiles, case studies, presentations, flyers, infographics, and other business development collateral.
- Create reusable, brand-aligned templates using strong graphic design, visual communication, and layout skills.
- Manage subject matter expert and thought leadership activities, including identifying topics, coordinating contributors, and maintaining content schedules.
- Coordinate with marketing and technical staff to gather project information, staff qualifications, photography, metrics, and other supporting content.
- Support media outreach, external awards, industry rankings, speaking opportunities, and individual recognition programs, including maintaining related calendars and tracking tools.
- Conduct market, competitor, client, and industry research to support content development, strategic planning, and business development efforts.
- Help practice-area and office leaders develop targeted materials and communications that support their priorities.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing specialist to adapt content and creative assets for the website, intranet, social media, newsletters, and other digital channels.
- Manage multiple assignments and stakeholder reviews while ensuring materials meet brand, editorial, accessibility, and quality standards.
- Stay current on AEC marketing, communications, design, media, and industry best practices.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, public relations, graphic design, or a related field.
- Five to ten years of marketing or communications experience; experience within the architecture, engineering, construction, or professional services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and translate technical information for business audiences.
- Working knowledge of the AEC industry, including its services, markets, terminology, and business development environment.
- Experience developing marketing collateral, project descriptions, case studies, articles, award submissions, presentations, or similar materials.
- Strong graphic design, visual communication, and layout skills, with the ability to create professional collateral and templates within an established brand system.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly InDesign; working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, interviewing, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to accuracy and visual presentation.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate contributors, assignments, deadlines, and approvals.
- Strong research, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with media relations, award programs, thought leadership, or market research is preferred.
- Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint, OpenAsset, or other AEC marketing and project-information systems is a plus.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a growing team environment with changing priorities.

This position will office out of our Dallas, TX location in a 'Class A' office space including a state-of-the-art gym (no cost), covered parking, food court, and more.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
