Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Logistic Coordinator - Saudi National to join our team!
The Logistics Construction Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting construction logistics, site access, material deliveries, vehicle movements, laydown areas, temporary facilities, and logistics interfaces across the project.
The role will ensure that construction activities are supported by safe, efficient, and well-controlled logistics arrangements, particularly within a complex airport and infrastructure environment where construction activities may interface with operational areas, restricted zones, existing infrastructure, and multiple contractors.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Coordinate day-to-day construction logistics activities across the project.
- Support the implementation and continuous update of the Construction Logistics Plan.
- Coordinate material deliveries, site access, unloading, storage, and distribution activities.
- Develop and manage delivery schedules in coordination with contractors, suppliers, and construction teams.
- Manage delivery booking and vehicle access arrangements.
- Coordinate access requirements for construction vehicles, equipment, and personnel.
- Ensure deliveries are planned according to approved working hours, access restrictions, and site constraints.
- Coordinate logistics requirements for large, oversized, heavy, and specialist equipment deliveries.
- Manage and monitor laydown areas, temporary storage yards, staging areas, and material handling zones.
- Coordinate with Construction teams to confirm work-front readiness prior to material deliveries.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Warehousing, and Construction teams regarding material availability and delivery priorities.
- Maintain delivery schedules, logistics trackers, vehicle movement records, and material movement logs.
- Monitor site congestion and identify potential logistics constraints before they impact construction activities.
- Coordinate internal construction traffic movements and approved vehicle routes.
- Support implementation of Site Traffic Management Plans and vehicle routing arrangements.
- Coordinate with Traffic and HSE teams to ensure safe segregation of pedestrians, vehicles, and construction equipment.
- Monitor and coordinate construction access roads, haul routes, temporary roads, gates, and logistics corridors.
- Coordinate temporary route closures, diversions, and changes to logistics arrangements.
- Coordinate logistics activities around airside, landside, restricted, and security-controlled airport areas, where applicable.
- Coordinate with Airport Operations and Security regarding access permits, vehicle passes, driver requirements, and operational restrictions.
- Ensure construction logistics activities comply with applicable airport security, safety, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure safe delivery, unloading, storage, handling, and movement of materials and equipment.
- Verify that logistics activities are conducted in accordance with approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and logistics procedures.
- Support coordination of lifting and unloading activities with lifting teams, contractors, and construction personnel.
- Coordinate access requirements for cranes, heavy transporters, mobile equipment, and specialist vehicles.
- Support logistics planning for major construction milestones and high-volume delivery periods.
- Identify logistics conflicts between different contractors, work packages, and construction areas.
- Coordinate shared access routes, laydown areas, and logistics resources between contractors.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved logistics requirements.
- Conduct regular site walks to identify access constraints, congestion, housekeeping issues, unsafe logistics practices, and material storage problems.
- Coordinate removal of construction waste, surplus materials, and debris from work areas.
- Support implementation of construction waste removal and recycling logistics.
- Ensure emergency access routes remain clear and operational at all times.
- Support emergency response arrangements related to site access and logistics.
- Maintain accurate logistics layouts, access plans, schedules, registers, and records.
- Support the preparation and updating of Site Logistics Plans, Logistics Layouts, Delivery Plans, and Traffic Routes.
- Coordinate with BIM / Digital Engineering teams where logistics planning is incorporated into project models.
- Coordinate with Planning and Project Controls teams to ensure logistics activities are aligned with construction schedules and look-ahead plans.
- Provide logistics inputs for 2-week / 3-week / monthly look-ahead planning.
- Identify logistics-related risks that may affect project milestones and construction productivity.
- Support the development of mitigation plans for logistics constraints and access limitations.
- Attend construction coordination, logistics, and interface meetings.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports and status updates.
- Maintain action trackers and follow up on outstanding logistics requirements.
- Monitor logistics performance, identify recurring issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Support coordination during project mobilization, major construction phases, testing, commissioning, and demobilization.
- Coordinate logistics requirements for commissioning, equipment installation, system completion, and handover activities.
- Support final site clearance, removal of temporary facilities, and logistics closeout activities.
- Ensure all logistics records and documentation are properly maintained for project closeout.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in construction logistics, site logistics coordination, construction operations, or infrastructure project delivery.
- Proven experience on major airport, infrastructure, transportation, or large-scale construction projects.
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors, suppliers, transporters, and construction work fronts.
- Strong understanding of construction site access, material delivery, storage, traffic movement, and logistics planning.
- Airport / airside logistics experience is highly preferred.
- NEBOSH / IOSH or relevant HSE training is an advantage.
- Construction logistics / site management certification is preferred.
- Traffic Management / Temporary Traffic Control training is an advantage.
- PMP / CAPM or project management training is beneficial.
- Airport / Airside Safety and Security training is highly desirable.
- Lifting and logistics-related training is an advantage.
