Job Description

Cloud Engineer – AWS China & Alibaba Cloud 

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with strong experience in AWS China and Alibaba Cloud. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating secure multi-account Landing Zones (Public and Private Cloud) , cloud governance frameworks, automation solutions leveraging DevOps and Ai tools and cloud financial management (FinOps). The candidate will work closely with application teams, security teams, and architects to enable secure, compliant, and scalable cloud adoption across China.

As a member of the Cloud Engineering team, he/she will be responsible for: 

• Continuously evolve the multi-cloud Landing Zone by adopting global standards, governance frameworks, and security controls. 

• Partner with technical teams to provide cloud architecture consultation, design reviews, and technical guidance for China cloud initiatives. 

• Promote cloud engineering practices through training sessions, workshops, and communities of practice. 

• Design and implement automation solutions to eliminate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency. Preferred to have deep knowledge on DevOps and Ai tools.

• Support FinOps activities, including cost management, budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and usage governance across multi-cloud environments. 

• Develop and maintain SDLC, operational, and technical documentation for cloud platforms and new service capabilities. 

Education Background 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 

Required Experience and Skills 

• 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering or platform engineering. 

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting AWS China and Alibaba Cloud. 

• Experience designing and operating multi-account Landing Zones and cloud governance frameworks. 

• Strong knowledge of SSO, IAM, logging, monitoring, and compliance. 

• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Alibaba ROS. 

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Ai background: Alibaba QWEN, Claude and CoPilot 

• Strong programming and automation skills using Python, Terraform, or similar scripting languages. 

• Experience with cloud financial management tools and reporting platforms. 

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
