The Role
Parsec Automation is seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of TrakSYS MES projects across multiple clients in manufacturing. This role is responsible for project governance, stakeholder management, and ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
The project manager will manage 3 to 4 projects concurrently, working closely with Technical Architects, Technical Leads, Engineers, Quality Analysts and Client project teams to drive outcomes.
Role Characteristics
• Project Span: Fully engaged throughout the project lifecycle: discovery, design, build, test, cutover, and go-live.
• Governance & Control: Owns project plan, RAIDD log, financial tracking, change requests, and delivery status reporting.
• Project Leadership: Serves as the primary point of contact for delivery governance and status communications.
• Collaboration: Works closely with MES consultants (pre-sales/scoping inputs), Technical Architects (design oversight), Technical Leads (execution), and client stakeholders.
• Multi-project capacity: Able to manage 3 to 4 projects concurrently with varying size, scope and complexity.
• Travel: Expected to travel to client sites as needed (project kick-off, key workshops etc.)
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Governance
• Conduct project kick-off calls with internal and client teams.
• Prepare and align on detailed project plan and milestones.
• Establish governance structure, cadence, and stakeholder map.
• Manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, and Decisions (RAIDD).
• Track and manage change requests throughout the project.
• Support SOW creation and estimations using inputs from MES consultant and Technical Architect.
• Maintain project documentation (plans, RAIDD logs, status reports).
• Conduct weekly status meetings (internal & client-facing)
Build Oversight
• Coordinate day-to-day project execution with Technical Lead and Engineers.
• Oversee sprint planning, backlog progress, and sprint reviews.
• Track deliverables against scope, schedule, and quality metrics.
• Ensure dependencies (integrations, hardware readiness, client inputs) are tracked and managed.
• Support SIT and UAT readiness, ensuring test phases are planned and resourced.
Go-Live Planning & Execution
• Develop and oversee cutover plan, including environment readiness and data migration.
• Coordinate go-live command center activities and communication streams.
• Manage stabilization / hypercare period
• Lead project closure activities and transition to support (if applicable).
Qualifications
• Experience: 8+ years in IT project management, with at least 3+ years leading MES or manufacturing system implementations.
• Project Management Knowledge: Strong command of planning, risk management, governance, change management, and multi-project delivery.
• SDLC Approaches: Familiarity with both agile (sprints, backlogs, velocity tracking) and waterfall (plans, milestones) approaches.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with architects, engineers, MES consultants, and client stakeholders.
• Communication: Skilled in managing expectations, facilitating workshops, and providing clear communication.
• Tools: Proficient in project management and DevOps tools (MS Project, Azure DevOps etc.)
