Engineering Project Manager – Life Sciences (Design)
Location: Cork or Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 Days per Week)
Contract: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)
Rate: Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE)
The Opportunity
Leap29 is recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy for experienced Engineering Project Managers to support the delivery of major pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects across Ireland.
This is an opportunity to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering complex Life Sciences facilities for global clients. You'll oversee engineering design packages from concept through detailed design, acting as the primary client interface while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering design teams on major Life Sciences projects.
- Manage engineering programmes, project resources and design deliverables.
- Coordinate Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural and Automation disciplines.
- Manage project schedules, forecasting, contract administration and quality documentation.
- Lead client meetings, design reviews and technical coordination throughout project delivery.
- Ensure engineering packages are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
- Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and project handover.
- Drive quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction across the project lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong Project Management experience within the Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or Life Sciences sectors.
- Proven experience managing engineering design projects within an EPCM or engineering consultancy environment.
- Experience delivering large-scale capital projects (€100m+ preferred).
- Strong understanding of project controls, engineering execution planning and contract administration.
- Good knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical engineering principles.
- Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
