Job Description

As a Security Officer Commercial Facility Full Time Visitor Services Desk in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a retail and mall location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badges, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming, secure environment while supporting daily operations with professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
• Serve as a professional front desk presence by greeting guests, verifying access credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Monitor entrances, lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and/or access-control systems; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Support a welcoming environment by providing information, assisting with lost-and-found inquiries, and communicating security-related observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
