Maron Marvel has an immediate opening for a Legal Billing Specialist to join our team in its Wilmington office. The candidate must possess excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills.
DUTIES:
- Responsible for firm legal billing including working with external electronic billing applications.
- Apply and edit time entries; finalize and distribute billings.
- Monitor and maintain firm client databases.
- Monitor and quality control of firm billing and firm conflict checks.
- Prepare accountings of client accounts for attorneys.
- Research client billing inquiries and respond to them.
- Prepare and analyze reports on trends in firm costs.
- Assist Accounting Department with special projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently.
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Preferred to be experienced using legal software such as Aderant, 3E, Surepoint.
