What You'll Do
In this role, you'll help bridge accounting, financial reporting, and business analytics by:
- Supporting month-end and beginning-of-month close activities for assigned subsidiaries.
- Managing accounting activities and financial reporting processes for multiple business entities.
- Reviewing accounting transactions, accruals, allocations, reserves, and classifications to ensure financial accuracy.
- Preparing journal entries, accounting adjustments, and reclassifications when necessary.
- Performing profitability analysis and managerial reporting that provide valuable business insights.
- Conducting financial, operational, cost, and KPI analyses requested by business partners and leadership teams.
- Researching and interpreting accounting standards, technical accounting guidance, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluating the impact of new accounting standards and recommending appropriate actions.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls aligned with GAAP.
- Developing reporting solutions, dashboards, and data visualizations that support decision-making.
- Supporting Workday reporting initiatives and dashboard development efforts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify risks, streamline processes, and improve data quality.
- Helping design and maintain managerial accounting structures that strengthen business performance reporting.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation, standardization, and analytics.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of accounting, finance, or financial reporting experience.
- Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience conducting financial analysis and interpreting complex financial information.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including analytical modeling, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience preparing accounting analyses, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
Preferred Strengths
- Experience in Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Profitability Analysis.
- Workday reporting experience.
- Power BI, Power Query, or dashboard development experience.
- Public accounting experience.
- CPA designation or CPA-track candidate.
- Experience supporting accounting process improvement or change management initiatives.
- Ability to transform financial and accounting data into actionable business insights.
- Experience presenting business findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
