Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS R12 PTP Consultant with strong techno-functional knowledge and deep hands-on support experience. This role is suited to someone who can work across Procure-to-Pay flows, troubleshoot production issues, analyze process and data problems, and partner closely with business and technical teams. Based in Bangalore, this position requires strong Oracle EBS support capability, solid analytical skills, and the ability to drive timely resolution in an SLA-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide techno-functional support for Oracle EBS R12 Procure-to-Pay processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, matching, and payment-related activities.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.
• Support month-end and sub-ledger close activities, including invoice, accrual, and payment-related investigation.
• Work across relevant Oracle EBS modules such as Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Inventory, and related Finance or SCM touchpoints as applicable.
• Use PL/SQL and SQL-based analysis to identify root causes, validate data, and support fixes or workarounds.
• Collaborate with business users, process owners, and technical teams to understand end-to-end PTP flows and business impacts.
• Review recurring issues, identify opportunities for automation or process improvement, and help strengthen system stability.
• Document solutions, support actions, and recurring incidents clearly for continuity and knowledge sharing.

How You Will Do It

• You will take ownership of issues from first analysis through resolution, with accountability, accuracy, and timely follow-through.
• You will stay close to the Procure-to-Pay process, remove blockers quickly, and focus on what matters most to users and stakeholders.
• You will use structured problem-solving to identify root causes, validate fixes, and improve the way issues are handled over time.
• You will work as one team across business and technical functions, building trust through clear communication and collaboration.
• You will approach your work with candor and continuous improvement, looking for practical ways to strengthen support, reporting, and process stability.
• You will use your Oracle EBS knowledge and PL/SQL skills to bridge functional requirements with practical technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle EBS R12 techno-functional roles, with strong Procure-to-Pay support exposure.
• Hands-on experience supporting Oracle EBS finance and procurement processes, especially Accounts Payable and Purchasing.
• Working knowledge of Oracle EBS modules and flows related to PTP, including purchase orders, invoices, matching, and payment processing.
• Strong PL/SQL and SQL skills for analysis, debugging, and solution support.
• Experience in production support, issue handling, and SLA-driven environments.
• Solid understanding of month-end close, accruals, and sub-ledger accounting processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem resolution.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting Oracle EBS integrations or interface troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Oracle Discoverer or reporting discussions.
• Experience identifying automation or process improvement opportunities.
• Broader exposure to cross-functional Oracle EBS support beyond PTP, such as Finance or SCM.
