About the role
Join our Risk and Assurance Team at AGL Macquarie - Bayswater Power Station. Reporting to the Compliance, Assurance & Risk Manager, you will support governance, compliance, assurance and risk management activities across the business while providing specialist advice and driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead compliance, assurance and audit activities to support regulatory obligations.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and provide advice on emerging risks and requirements.
Maintain compliance and risk systems, registers, reporting and governance processes.
Build capability through stakeholder engagement, training and specialist advice.
Support business risk management, including Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) obligations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across governance, risk and compliance activities.
About You
A proactive and collaborative professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, you will bring sound judgement, a practical approach to governance and compliance, and a passion for improving business practices and risk outcomes.
What You'll Bring
Experience in risk, compliance, assurance and/or audit environments.
Qualifications in governance, internal audit, risk management, compliance management, law, business, or a Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management.
Experience working with risk and compliance frameworks and systems.
Strong knowledge of audit and assurance processes.
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive positive change.
Desirable
Energy industry or heavy industry experience.
Familiarity with ISO 31000 and ISO 37301/19600 standards.
Knowledge of Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) legislation.
Experience using risk and compliance management systems.
