Description
If you have solid project coordination experience and enjoy being the person who keeps the commercial and operational detail behind projects on track, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a varied role within an experienced team.
You will work closely with Project Managers supporting multimillion-dollar projects across Adelaide, with responsibility across project financials, procurement, subcontractors, documentation, reporting and the wider coordination required to keep delivery on track.
Importantly, you will not be expected to walk in and work everything out for yourself. There is a strong onboarding and support structure in place to help you understand the business, systems and processes, while giving you the opportunity to build your knowledge and take greater ownership as you develop in the role.
The Opportunity
Working across multiple projects at different stages of delivery, you will provide the project and commercial support that allows Project Managers to maintain visibility over costs, commitments, forecasts and overall performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining project budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete and financial reporting.
- Monitoring project costs, commitments and expenditure against budget.
- Supporting variations, claims, invoicing and commercial documentation.
- Coordinating procurement, subcontractors and project requirements.
- Supporting Project Managers with project planning, schedules and customer commitments.
- Maintaining accurate project records, documentation and reporting.
- Tracking project risks, actions and outstanding requirements.
- Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors and customers.
- Ensuring project information is accurately maintained across internal systems.
About You
You may currently be working as a Project Coordinator, Contracts Administrator, Project Administrator or in a similar project-focused position. Electronic Security industry experience is preferred, although relevant project experience within ICT, construction or building services will also be considered.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience supporting the delivery of projects in a coordination or contracts capacity.
- Good commercial understanding, including budgets, forecasting, costs, variations and invoicing.
- Experience coordinating procurement, subcontractors and project requirements.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence working with project documentation, reporting and internal systems.
- Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to follow up actions and keep things moving.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
