Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. This role includes installing and configuring database management systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security. The professional develops and follows procedures for routine maintenance and swiftly addresses any issues that arise to minimize downtime. Collaboration with various teams to align database solutions with business requirements is a key part of daily activities, along with monitoring system health and planning for future capacity and scalability.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of database policies and standards to ensure data integrity and security.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand database requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure PaaS.
- Experience with database installation, configuration, and management in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques.
- Ability to optimize database performance through tuning and monitoring.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements for data management.
- Experience in automating routine database maintenance tasks and scripting.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure PaaS.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
