As an Associate Cloud Technical Architect at NTT DATA, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in the exciting world of cloud computing. You will assist in the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions that meet the business and technical needs of our clients. Your journey will involve collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translating these into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business requirements and assists in translating them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective AI and cloud solutions.
- Supports senior architects in customer discovery workshops, solution design sessions, and technical engagements.
- Assists in the design of cloud-native and AI-powered solutions that align with customer business objectives.
- Participates in the development of AI assistants, chatbots, copilots, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, and agentic AI applications.
- Supports the evaluation, selection, and implementation of foundation models and AI services to address customer requirements.
- Provides pre-sales technical support by helping analyse client requirements and recommending suitable technology solutions.
- Contributes to cloud assessments, application modernisation initiatives, and migration planning activities.
- Assists with the design of integration solutions that enable seamless data flow between cloud platforms, AI services, enterprise applications, and on-premises environments.
- Supports the implementation of cloud security, AI governance, and compliance best practices.
- Assists in building and delivering customer proof-of-concepts (POCs), demonstrations, and pilot solutions.
- Develops technical design documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and customer-facing technical content.
- Participates in responses to RFPs, RFIs, and technical proposals.
- Supports customer presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and solution reviews.
- Assists in transitioning proposed solutions to implementation and delivery teams.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support customer success and business growth initiatives.
- Maintains awareness of emerging AI, cloud, and industry technology trends and continuously develops technical expertise.

- Familiarity with open-source and commercial foundation models such as: Qwen Llama Mistral Gemma DeepSeek OpenAI Models Anthropic Claude
- Understanding of prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and AI agents.
- Familiarity with AI development frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, governance, and compliance.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts including virtual networks, subnets, routing, VPN connectivity, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
- Knowledge of cloud storage, compute, monitoring, and database services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, and source control management.
- Understanding of APIs, integration technologies, messaging platforms, and modern application architectures.
- Awareness of responsible AI, AI governance, security, privacy, and compliance principles.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python.
- Awareness of containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

- 0-2 years of professional experience within a technology services, software engineering, cloud, AI, technical consulting, infrastructure, or related technology environment.
- Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence, cloud technologies, and emerging technologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms through internships, university projects, personal projects, labs, certifications, or professional experience.
- Foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, security, and application services.
- Experience participating in technical projects individually or as part of a team.
- Basic experience creating technical documentation, diagrams, presentations, or solution artefacts.
- Familiarity with software development concepts, APIs, automation, scripting, or programming.
Desirable
- Experience building AI-powered applications, AI assistants, copilots, chatbots, or intelligent automation solutions.
- Experience working with open-source LLMs such as Qwen, Llama, Mistral, Gemma, DeepSeek, or similar models.
- Experience developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, Ollama, vLLM, or similar AI platforms.
- Exposure to cloud-native application development and modern application architectures.
