Purpose of the role

Accountabilities
- Execution of market research to understand customer needs, pain points, and emerging trends to support the analysis of profitability, market size and positioning for new products compared to existing offerings, and to identify opportunities for diversification to gain a competitive advantage.
- Collaboration with stakeholders across departments and teams including marketing, sales, technology, engineers, designers etc to generate innovative and feasible product ideas and porotypes for testing aligned with customer needs and strategic goals.
- Development of concepts and specifications which define features, functionalities, target market, user interface, technical specifications and potential revenue models of new products.
- Evaluation of the technical feasibility, legal compliance, and potential risks associated with the development and launch of the new product.
- Monitoring of market trends and analysis feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes, user testing sessions, and beta programs to identify areas for improvement to refine the product before launch.
- Management of comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments for products that establish rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training initiatives and communication channels to promote the launch new products effectively.
- Monitoring of key metrics such as adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation to assess the product's performance against set goals.

The Client Reporting Product Lead is accountable for defining and delivering the strategic vision for Client Reporting across Private Banking and Wealth Management.
The role owns the evolution of reporting capabilities spanning quarterly and periodic client reporting, regulatory reporting obligations, digital reporting, self-service insights and future data-driven client experiences. Working within a large-scale international transformation programme, the role partners across Business, Technology, Operations, Data, Risk and Compliance functions to deliver market-leading reporting experiences that improve client engagement, colleague effectiveness and regulatory outcomes.
The successful candidate will combine strong product leadership with technology, data and programme delivery expertise, demonstrating the ability to operate effectively within a complex international matrix organisation and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Support definition of the end-to-end Client Reporting strategy across static, periodic and digital reporting channels for clients and colleagues.
- Establish and communicate a compelling product vision that aligns client needs, commercial objectives, regulatory obligations and enterprise technology strategies.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year strategic roadmap that balances business priorities, regulatory requirements, technical dependencies and client value.
- Drive deep understanding of client, colleague and business needs through research, data insights and stakeholder engagement.
- Champion human-centred design principles to create intuitive, engaging and accessible reporting experiences.
- Define and monitor product OKRs and performance measures, ensuring strategic objectives are translated into measurable outcomes.
- Work as a product leader in an integrated cross functional agile organisation to successfully deliver strategic capabilities.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear product outcomes and delivery objectives.
- Ensure reporting capabilities are aligned with broader enterprise digital, data and technology strategies.
- Leverage emerging technologies, including AI and GenAI, where appropriate, to improve reporting production, personalisation, insight generation and client self-service experiences.
- Ensure reporting solutions comply with legal, regulatory, conduct and risk requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
- Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk and Control functions to ensure regulatory obligations are understood and reflected within the product roadmap.
- Foster a strong culture of governance and control, ensuring appropriate processes and oversight mechanisms are maintained.
- Escalate risks, issues and breaches of policy appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Provide expert advice and thought leadership to senior management and executive stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across business and technology functions to drive alignment and effective decision making.
- Act as a recognised subject matter expert for Client Reporting within the organisation.
- Coach and develop less experienced product managers and specialists, helping to build future organisational capability.
