This role combines team leadership with strong technical depth and hands-on engagement in application architecture, data integration, platform development, vendor platform adoption, and delivery execution.
The successful candidate will lead an established India engineering team supporting a hybrid reporting ecosystem that combines internal data engineering and delivery capabilities with the vendor-based reporting build platform.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams, delivering enterprise reporting or data platforms, learning and driving vendor technology platforms, and partnering across global technology, business, product, architecture, data, security, infrastructure, operations, and vendor teams in a highly regulated enterprise environment.
.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
Lead the India Client and Product Reporting development team, including delivery planning, execution oversight, mentoring, technical guidance, and day-to-day team leadership.
Partner with global Client and Product Reporting platform leadership to align India delivery with global platform strategy, roadmap priorities, architecture direction, and business outcomes.
Provide hands-on technical leadership across application design, development, code reviews, troubleshooting, solution architecture, and technical decision-making.
Provide leadership coverage across global time zones, particularly during U.S. business hours, representing the Client Reporting Platform team in meetings, forums, and executive discussions when regional leaders are unavailable.
Lead delivery across the full reporting lifecycle, including reporting data ingestion, reporting database and Snowflake integration, Vendor Platform report build capabilities, and downstream delivery engine integration.
Develop a deep understanding of the vendor platform and guide the team in using vendor capabilities effectively while maintaining strong ownership of internal architecture, data quality, security, and delivery controls.
Provide escalation leadership for production issues, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement of platform stability and supportability.
Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, operations, architecture, data, infrastructure, security, QA, production support, and vendor teams to deliver high-quality platform capabilities.
Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, auditability, reliability, data quality, operational resilience, secure delivery, and alignment with enterprise technology standards.
Drive strong engineering practices across SDLC, Agile delivery, estimation, release readiness, documentation, test automation, code quality, and secure-by-design development.
Support modernization of reporting capabilities, including data pipeline improvements, API integration, application rationalization, cloud delivery patterns, monitoring, and reduction of manual operational processes.
Build team capability through coaching, onboarding, succession planning, performance feedback, and creation of a collaborative engineering culture.
Communicate delivery status, risks, dependencies, technical recommendations, and business impact clearly to senior technology, business, and vendor stakeholders.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Overall, 10+ years of work experience in enterprise software engineering, application development, platform delivery, application architecture, or technology leadership roles.
Proven experience leading software engineering teams, preferably in a global or matrixed organization.
Proven ability to drive adoption of AI engineering tools and practices across development teams while maintaining high standards of quality, security, compliance, and operational excellence.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise Java application development, REST APIs, SQL, data integration, ETL and data load patterns, and database-backed business applications.
Experience with reporting platforms, report generation workflows, document/output delivery, or data-intensive client-facing platforms.
Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms, relational databases, data replication, and controlled data distribution.
Ability to learn, evaluate, and lead delivery on vendor technology platforms while maintaining internal engineering ownership and architectural discipline.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, enterprise architecture, application security, technology risk controls, and regulated-environment delivery expectations.
Experience managing vendor dependencies, technical escalations, platform constraints, and cross-team delivery risks.
Experience with cloud-native or cloud migration initiatives, CI/CD, DevOps practices, automated testing, monitoring, and production support processes.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience in financial services, asset management, client reporting, product reporting, regulatory reporting, or data-intensive platforms is strongly preferred.
