About the role
The Business Development Manager – Pharmacy Automation is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic growth opportunities to expand market presence, increase revenue, and strengthen customer relationships within the healthcare sector.
The role focuses on driving new business development, managing key stakeholder relationships, and supporting commercial strategies to achieve sustainable business growth.
Job location – Riyadh
Main responsibilities will include:
Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories.
Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, government entities, purchasing organizations, distributors, and key decision-makers.
Drive market expansion initiatives, including new customer acquisition, product adoption, and market penetration.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and service teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
Lead commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and partnership agreements.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, industry developments, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Develop and present business cases, proposals, and value-based solutions to customers and stakeholders.
Support tender management activities and strategic projects where applicable.
Maintain an accurate pipeline of opportunities and provide regular business forecasts using CRM tools.
Drive customer engagement activities, including executive meetings, workshops, and business reviews.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.
Prepare and deliver regular business performance reports to senior leadership.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in business development, commercial sales, account management, or strategic marketing within the healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing strategic customer relationships.
Experience working with healthcare institutions, government organizations, procurement bodies, and private healthcare groups.
Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, reimbursement models, and procurement processes.
Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and business negotiations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, financial, and business planning capabilities.
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.com (SFDC) for opportunity management, pipeline tracking, and forecasting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Willingness to travel as required.
