Overview of Position:

Coordinates and designs all reporting generated by the departmental information system. Functions as intra- and interdepartmental liaison to ensure integrity of system data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1.    Provides assistance with DSS modeling. DSS data processing and technical coordinator. Knowledge of modeling, budgeting, accounting transactions, decision support, processing productivity reporting and monitoring.
2.    Acts as Thomson Action Coordinator.
3.    Assists Genesis staff with benchmark analysis as needed. 
4.    Troubleshoot errors within Eclipsys and Action systems.
5.    Completes monthly financial processing 3 business days from accounting close. 
6.    Completes monthly patient processing 5 business days from accounting close.
7.    Prepare flex budget upload for Accounting Prepare Solucient Action data collection and submittal quarterly.
8.    Completes overrides and other budget functions
9.    Maintains open communications with functional area manager/director regarding projects and systems issues.
10.    Tracks information and completes detailed analyses reports.
11.    Manages department-specific programming tables and distributes table information to staff as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
1.    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Information Systems Management or equivalent experience in hospital information systems.  
2.    Strong verbal communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
3.    Ability to independently prioritize and focus on multiple tasks concurrently
4.    Experience with healthcare and/or specific departmental functions.
5.    Ability to read and/or write in order to understand, explain, or describe moderately complex information.
6.    Strong PC skills in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and Windows applications.
7.    Knowledge of Crystal Reporting.

3.    Promotes Patient and Employee Safety
