Manager, Business Data Automation (individual contributor)

Position Summary

As a member of the Strategic Intelligence and Automation team, you'll work with healthcare data that has a real impact: the same data that drives prior authorization decisions, clinical operations reporting, and how we resolve client issues.

As part of the team you will:

• Partner with clinical support, product managers, and designers to translate healthcare business problems (e.g., prior authorization workflows, clinical operations reporting) into data and product requirements.
• Build ETL workflows using Dataiku and Python to receive, manipulate, and populate healthcare and operational data.
• Investigate data to answer stakeholder questions and support decisions that directly affect member and client outcomes.
• Aid in retaining our client base by researching and resolving client issues by writing queries and analyzing data.
• Support direct team members in testing, troubleshooting, and documenting work.
• Actively contribute to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects, including sharing ideas, providing feedback, and contributing to the overall goals and objectives of the team.
• Contribute to knowledge management initiatives to ensure that knowledge and best practices are understood and shared across the organization.
• Assist in maintaining our integrated high-performance culture.

This is an individual-contributor role; there are no direct reports.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of work experience.

• 2+ years' experience working with healthcare data, claims, prior authorization, or clinical operations.
• 4+ years with multiple SQL dialects (T-SQL, Google BigQuery, Oracle).
• 4+ years' experience with Python.
• 4+ years' experience with ETL work using Dataiku or Alteryx.
• 4+ years in a data engineering role.
• Experience using project management and Repo applications; Azure DevOps preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Authorization or Clinical Operations experience specifically (beyond general healthcare data).
• Experience managing a team of coders.
• 6+ years with multiple SQL dialects (T-SQL, Google BigQuery, Oracle).
• 6+ years' experience with Python.
• 6+ years' experience with ETL work using Dataiku or Alteryx.
• 6+ years in a data engineering role.
• 6+ years using Azure DevOps and Repos for project management.
• Experience building AI solutions.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Master’s Degree in data or analytics field preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
