The Department of Mechanical Engineering is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your cover letter and Curriculum Vitae.
MECH 315 – Intermediate Dynamics (4 credits)
Instructor must cover all material as written in the Course Outline on the McGill Course Catalogue page, as follows:
- Single-degree-of-freedom systems; free vibrations; effect of damping; response to harmonic, periodic and arbitrary excitation. Lagrange's equations of motion. Vibrations of multi-degree-of-freedom systems. Continuous systems.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of three years’ experience teaching or in industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Understanding cross-cultural practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and flexible approach to teaching.
